- ccccoooonnnnvvvv____aaaalllliiiiaaaassss reads $HOME/.zmailrc for MediaMail aliases and adds any new
- aliases to user's Netscape Address Book. If the alias already exists in
- the Address Book as a user or list, the alias will not be added and a
- message will be printed.
-
- ccccoooonnnnvvvv____aaaalllliiiiaaaassss does not alter $HOME/.zmailrc. It updates
- $HOME/.netscape/address-book.html, or creates it if it doesn't exist. A
- backup copy of the Address Book(s) is taken before any modifications are
- done ($HOME/address-book.html.original or $HOME/address-book.html.nn, and
- $HOME/abook.nab.nn).
-
- If you previously ran Communicator 4.x, you will have to import the
- address-book.html file manually before you will see the MediaMail aliases
- in your Address Book. To import, select Communicator -> Address Book.
- In the Address Book, select File -> Import. In the Import address book
- File Finder dialog, select $HOME/.netscape/address-book.html.
-
- Since Netscape Address Book entries are typically more descriptive than
- MediaMail aliases, after ccccoooonnnnvvvv____aaaalllliiiiaaaassss is run, it is recommended that the
- user go into the Address Book and at minimum, update the "Name" field.
